Letting The Boats Go

A tenderloin wrapped in bacon, fresh tossed salad, baked potato with all the fixing, and a dinner roll with a glass of ice tea. I use to have a fishing buddy that always wanted to find out how I got my steaks to melt in your mouth, but this must be a secret that I will take to the grave. You can cut the steaks with a butter knife, they are that tender. Now that I am stuffed like a pig and need a wheel barrow to move me from the table to the living room to maybe watch a movie before bed, but must make sure the charger is hooked up want the batteries fully charged for the morning.

Well got to sleep in being the fall sun does not come up that early and did not make that movie last night that big meal took care of that. It is 6 in the morning and a sausage biscuit will do this morning.

I will try somthing different today will start way down south at BEAR will drive to J. P. Coleman in Mississippi and put in there and drive the boat about 20 minutes south to Bear.
I know that Pick Wick has already started pulling the lake down for what they call "Winter Pool" and I think if I was a Lake front Home owner I would raise cane seeing my lake front property is now mud front property. If the water is still up in the back of Bear, there is a cove I call Airport Landing that hold some proud Large Mouth Bass. People call different spots different names so you can say Airport Landing and folks have no idea where you are talking about.
I have caught some nice fish during a tournament that made it to weigh in on a crank bait and have left a lot of fish that have been able to just pull off that same crank bait. Have never been able to understand how the bass can get six hooks out of his lips, but they do some how.

Oh how I love to give my secrets away but on the left side of Airport Landing, there is a large hump that come straight out to the middle and the Bass love to hang on the down side. I take a Root Beer 200 Bandit Crank Bait and throw over the hump and slowly drag it over the hump and see if that is the way the bass wants it. If not, the second cast I will speed it up and move down the hump a little, I promise you there is a Bass on that hump some where, and it will be a keeper for the weigh in.
