This is a small example of just part of Mother Nature you get to see while you are
fishing: Deer, Foxes, Turkeys, Eagles, Hawks, Beavers, Bob Cat, and more if you really get down and look hard
but I do not mess with the snakes.
Back to the ramp and also you never know who you might catch sight of, like the
other day, I saw this guy with a white and orange ball cap that had a big T on the front of the ball cap and that
could only be Bill Dance and he was fishing hard so I did not disturb him. Pros fish Pick Wick a lot
because they want some good spots. They do fish north and south all the way into Alabama and
Kentucky. So anyway, Load the boat and back to the cabin and will make battle plan for the next day.
Back at the cabin, pick up the new Tennessee's Fishing Guide and saw
Something inside that I will start ending my articles with this it was great is says " LIFE JACKETS FLOAT. YOU
DON'T. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKET."
Thinking about where to start this morning and really no wonder this lake gets so
much pressure there is no other lake this size in our area, sure Tennessee has other lakes but no where the size as
They did build two lakes a few years ago (Small Ones) and stocked them, and they
are already fished out and have not been re-stocked. "They do not have the funds" where is the fishing license
funds going it sure is not used to re-stocking....at least not in Tennessee, maybe in someone's back
I know I left the subject at hand but unless you want to drive five to seven hours
and have five or six days to spend away from home you are kind of stuck to the one lake and have to make the best
of it. If you have grown up on the lake like I have, I still know a few spots where a guy still can get some nice
I like to search the lake when it is down at winter pool that way I can see where
some folks have dropped off fish attracts like wood pallets, trees, and old bed springs that will hold bait fish when
they start to fill the lake back up. I take pictures because I do not remember all the right coves, so the pictures
So that is where I will start off this morning , Yellow Creek as you are going
toward the river on the left side there are plenty of coves and work the back of each cove with a Devil
Horse/Whopper Popper/POP R /and a Buzz Bait will hit the pot of gold in that cove that has the buried stuff under
the water. Really do not have that much time to work the coves today. Pick Wick Lodge in TENNESSEE LANDING STATE
PARK has this thing that check out is at 11 am so fish and get back and load up and head back to Memphis. I have
given out more of my secrets again to help my fellow anglers, so I leave some fish for you.
