Yeti Cup / Ice Chest
What is all the excitement about this Yeti Cup ? Let me tell you after
all the years I hit the lake with my old coffee cup just to have it be cold
when I get to my first Honey Hole.
Not any more. This cup cost alittle and you say "I am not going to pay $50.00
dollars For a coffee cup", but let me tell you I have had mine for about two
weeks and it has
been cold outside but the coffee stays hot as it just came out of the coffee
pot.
I worked a boat show in Memphis and would fill my cup up at 4:30am and by
Lunch it was still hot to the point you still have to sip it. Another person
had a Yeti Cup but
was drinking Ice Tea, She arrived at the show at 8:00am and when she left at 7pm she
still had ice in the cup.
The Yeti Cup is very sturdy with metal case, and here is the first problem I ran into
is if you are out on a very cold morning your hand might get real dry and with the metal cup it will slide out of
your hands. Don't want to test a float test, so I came up with the idea of slip a foam cover over the bottom and
push it to the top the ones you use for coke/beer just cut the bottom out and push it all the way up...BING GO CUP
DOES NOT SLIP ANYMORE. That is one thing I wish Yeti had done.....Put some grips on the cup.
HERE is another trick I found out about if you want the cup to out live you, when you
have finished your drink wash it out by hand do not put in dish washer, and when dry store upside down. This allows
what is in the cup to move around and not settle in the bottom of the cup.
O.K. now the Yeti Ice Chest, bought one for my fishing buddy last October Just before
our yearly fishing trip. We decided to keep ice in that cooler for the Beer, started off the day before the trip I
packed the cooler with bag ice to prep it.
When we got to the cabin dumped the ice, filled it with beer and poured new ice in,
seem like every day we were putting ice in cooler. When I got back from the trip and talked with other people that
had a Yeti cooler and was told that bag ice will not keep well in the cooler to use block ice, will try that next
time.
Like I ALWAYS SAY DON'T BUY IT UNTIL I TRY IT, contact me if there is something out
there you want me to try and give a report on it.
KEEP THE HOOKS WET
